LEVADA NORTE WALKING TOUR
A walk with a magnificent panoramic view over towns of Câmara de Lobos and Campanário. You will see green fields, carefully cared for plantations, as well as sets of houses and buildings that form the villages. It is a very pleasant walk that can be done at any time of the year thanks to the mild climate of the south coast of Madeira Island.
The Levada Norte is one of the largest and most important in Madeira, it runs through several parts of the island. This magnificent stretch begins just below the well known Cabo Girão, leading hikers to the area of Boa Morte in Ribeira Brava. It is a very pleasant and easy trail that can be done all year round, thanks to the mild climate of south coast. Along the way, you can enjoy the fantastic views of towns Câmara de Lobos and Campanário. You will also see the green fields, the carefully worked plantations and a set of houses and buildings that form the villages. Occasionally, you may find some local people on the path that are cultivating their plots of land.
